Croatian player Marin Cilic has booked his place in the Rotterdam Open final with a 5-7 6-3 6-2 win over Igor Sijsling of the Netherlands on Saturday evening.
Cilic almost broke as early as the second game but after Sijsling had held on, it was the Dutchman who broke to 15, although he was pegged back immediately by the resurgent Croat.
After that point it went comfortably with serve until Sijsling stepped up a gear at the crucial time to break at 5-5 before serving out the opening set.
Cilic did not want to face an upset, so got stuck into his opponent, with an early break enough for him to comfortably clinch the second set.
He was not troubled on his serve for the rest of the match and cruised to the win in the third set, which lasted just 29 minutes, to book a clash with Tomas Berdych in the final.
