Andy Murray eased into the third round of the Dubai Championships this morning courtesy of a 6-0 6-2 victory over Joao Sousa.
World number three Murray, who was given a stern test by Gilles Muller yesterday afternoon, did not drop a game on his way to winning the opening set in just 22 minutes.
Portugal's Sousa finally got on the board at 2-1 down in the second set, but he would win just one more game against the Scot, who secured his place in the last eight in just 57 minutes.
Murray will now take on either former Australian Open finalist Marcos Baghdatis or youngster Borna Coric for a place in the semi-finals of the competition.
