Feliciano Lopez has joined British number one Andy Murray in the quarter-finals of the Shanghai Masters after a comfortable victory over Tomas Berdych.
The 30-year-old, who is ranked number 26 in the world, saw the match through with a 6-4 6-4 win.
It was an even start to the match until Lopez managed to break the Czech's serve before taking the opening set.
Leading one set to love, the Spaniard continued on the front foot in the second set, although the world number seven refused to give in and attempted to fight his way back.
Despite his bid to level the scoreboard, Lopez was too much for Berdych and comfortably finished off the match.
The Spaniard will play Florian Mayer in the quarter-finals, who sensationally knocked out top seed Rafael Nadal in the third round.
