Eugenie Bouchard: 'I'm rebuilding my confidence at US Open'

Eugenie Bouchard says that she is rebuilding her confidence at the US Open following back-to-back wins at Flushing Meadows.

Canadian star Eugenie Bouchard has claimed that she is rebuilding her confidence after a lacklustre spell on court.

The 21-year-old impressed on the major stage in 2014, but has struggled to follow that up this year.

At the US Open, Bouchard, who reached as high as the fourth round last year, has begun strongly having won her first two matches of the campaign

"I think it's really important," Bouchard told reporters. "I had so much confidence last year. This year, after losing a couple matches, I felt like that went down a little bit, even though it shouldn't have. I feel like I'm rebuilding that. It's definitely helping me on the court."

Bouchard will face Dominika Cibulkova in the next round.
