Madison Keys: Handling expectation "not easy"

America's Madison Keys admits that it is "not easy" to cope with the pressure of expectation at her home Grand Slam.

Madison Keys has admitted that it is "not easy" to handle the pressure of expectation in front of her home crowd at the US Open.

The American, who is the 19th seed at Flushing Meadows this year, cruised to victory over Tereza Smitkova in the Arthur Ashe Stadium earlier today, setting up a meeting with either Magda Linette or Agnieszka Radwanska in the next round.

After her match, the 20-year-old told the tournament's website: "It's something I'm working on, for sure. It's not easy all the time, but I'm focusing on having fun."

Keys is through to the third round at the US Open for the first time in her career, giving her career-best performances at all four of the Grand Slams in 2015.
