Novak Djokovic has expressed his relief after avoiding damage to his shoulder following a tumble in the third set of his third-round match against Gilles Simon at Wimbledon.
The Serbian fell awkwardly on his shoulder, but eventually came through to secure a 6-4 6-2 6-4 victory and set up a fourth-round clash against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
"It was a sharp pain when I fell, an awkward fall," BBC Sport quotes Djokovic as saying. "I was just hoping there is nothing going on with the joint, luckily there is no damage and I could play.
"The muscle was quite sore with the impact but I am just glad to get through. Now there are two days off and I am going to try and recover the next one is Tsonga and it's going to be a great match up for both of us."
Tsonga secured his place in the next round with a straight-sets win over Jimmy Wang this afternoon.
