Kim Clijsters has kept her hopes of winning Wimbledon alive by overcoming the challenge of Andrea Hlavackova this evening.
The unseeded Belgian has already confirmed that this will be her last appearance at SW19 as she is planning to retire at the end of the season.
Clijsters begun the encounter against her opponent from the Czech Republic brightly. She made the most of her domination by claiming a break of Hlavackova's serve on her way to winning the opening set 6-3.
She continued to control proceedings in the second set, eventually securing her passage into round three with another 6-3 success.
