Tommy Haas books his place in round two at Wimbledon at the expense of Dmitry Tursunov.

Tommy Haas's good form in 2013 continued this afternoon with a 6-3 7-5 7-5 victory over Dmitry Tursunov in the opening round of Wimbledon.

The German claimed the first set thanks to one break of serve and another break, albeit a late one, allowed him to open up a 2-0 lead.

It was a similar outcome in the third set as Tursunov struggled to make any inroads on the 35-year-old's serve and he was able to go on and secure his spot in the second round in just over two hours.

He will now take on either Wayne Odesnik or Jimmy Wang for a place in round three of the competition.
