Former champion Petra Kvitova has made it through to the Wimbledon quarter-finals thanks to a straight-sets victory over Shuai Peng.

The sixth seed saved four break points during the opening set before a break allowed her to serve it out 6-3.

Kvitova, who won the tournament back in 2011, then powered into a 3-1 lead in the second on her way to closing out the match 6-3 6-2 with just over an hour played.

She will now face fellow Czech Barbora Zahlavova-Strycova for a spot in the semi-finals.
