How Arsenal could line up against Vitoria de Guimaraes

Ahead of Wednesday's Europa League game between Vitoria de Guimaraes and Arsenal, Sports Mole looks at how Unai Emery's side could line up in Portugal.

Arsenal face Vitoria de Guimaraes in the Europa League on Wednesday afternoon looking for their fourth successive win in the competition.

Recording maximum points from their opening fixtures has left the Gunners with a three-point advantage at the top of Group F.

However, manager Unai Emery finds himself under pressure at the Emirates Stadium after five successive below-par performances in all competitions.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how the Premier League outfit may line up for the fixture in Portugal.

Out: Granit Xhaka (out)

Granit Xhaka has missed the last two matches as a result of his angry outburst towards supporters who cheered his substitution against Crystal Palace.

The Switzerland international had been in contention to return, but Emery has instead stripped the midfielder of the captaincy, while also excluding him from his plans on Wednesday.

Emery could make 11 changes from the 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon, with Joe Willock, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli all in contention for a starting role.

Nicolas Pepe will hope to feature after only being named on the substitutes' bench at the weekend, while Bukayo Saka could play on the opposite flank with Ainsley Maitland-Niles being used in central midfield.

The back four should have an experienced look to it, although much could depend on whether Emery intends to make changes against Leicester City.
