Lacazette: 'Arsenal need miracle to win title'

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette says that the Gunners would need a "miracle" to win this season's Premier League title.

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has claimed that Manchester City are not "unbeatable", despite acknowledging that Arsenal are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title.

With City recording 14 successive wins in the top flight, Arsenal sit 17 points adrift of the runaway leaders in the standings ahead of Wednesday evening's clash with West Ham United.

However, Lacazette has suggested that the North London outfit would be happy with finishing in the top four in the table in order to gain a place in the Champions League.

The 26-year-old is quoted by the London Evening Standard as saying: "It would be complicated to win it at this point, we'd need a miracle.

"City would need to lose a lot of games and we know their record. But the goal in coming here was to qualify for the Champions League and it we get the title, fantastic.

"City are very good. They have had a lot of success and you reap your own rewards. But don't think they are unbeatable."

Lacazette has scored eight goals in 16 league appearances this season.
