Manchester City out to equal record away winning run at Arsenal

Manchester City can equal their club record of 11 consecutive away victories when they travel to North London to take on Arsenal on Sunday.

Manchester City will be out to equal a club record when they travel to the capital to take on Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola's ruthless charges have already surpassed the Gunners' previous English record for consecutive wins across all competitions, and they have enjoyed unparalleled success over Arsenal in recent times.

A 2-0 defeat in last season's FA Cup semi-final is their only loss from their last 10 matches against the Gunners - with the other nine ending in victories - and a win here would see Guardiola's men extend their hot streak to 18 matches across all competitions.

Ten of City's victories in that barnstorming run have come on the road, and another win at the Emirates Stadium would see them equal their club record of 11 straight wins on the road, which they achieved between May and November 2017.

Guardiola has already witnessed his crop beat Arsenal 1-0 at home in the league and 4-1 at the Emirates in the EFL Cup this season, and the Gunners could fail to score against an opponent four times on the bounce at home in the league for the first time ever.

City start the day ten points clear at the top of the Premier League table - 22 above 10th-placed Arsenal.
