Arsene Wenger says that he "never" considered quitting as manager of Arsenal following outside pressure to question his job this week.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he "never" considered leaving his post at the Emirates following a week of scrutiny.

The Frenchman has been under pressure following the Gunners' FA Cup exit to Blackburn Rovers last weekend, as well as their 3-1 deficit in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.

"It's not down to me to judge [what people say]," Wenger said in a press conference. "My responsibility is to keep the guidelines and to guide the team and the club to what I think is right."

When asked if he had at any point this week considered quitting, Wenger replied: "Never."

The 63-year-old also claimed that he will not discuss signing a new contract until his current deal expires next year.
