Arsenal have reportedly entered discussions with Roma over a potential swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Justin Kluivert.
Mkhitaryan has spent this season on loan at Roma and has amassed six goals and three assists from 13 appearances in the Italian top flight.
Paulo Fonseca's side are said to be keen for Mkhitaryan to remain in Italy on a permanent basis, and Roma may look to use Arsenal's supposed interest in Kluivert as a means of engineering a move.
Corriere della Sera reports that the two parties have begun negotiations regarding a potential swap deal in a move which has been orchestrated by agent Mino Raiola.
However, the report claims that the Gunners want a straight swap for Kluivert, whereas Roma are holding out for a deal which includes a cash sum as well as Mkhitaryan.
Kluivert has registered seven goals and two assists for Roma across all competitions this term, and the Dutchman is under contract with the Serie A outfit until 2023.
