Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Arda Guler from Fenerbahce this summer following a breakout season for the youngster.

Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Fenerbahce midfielder Arda Guler this summer.

The 17-year-old enjoyed a breakout season at Fenerbahce, scoring three goals in 14 appearances for the club.

Guler also notched three assists despite starting only two games for his side last season, resulting in the youngster being compared to former Arsenal and Fenerbahce player Mesut Ozil.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal and Liverpool are weighing up a move for Guler, who has three years left to run on his current Fenerbahce contract.

While Liverpool have shown an interest, the Gunners are already starting the process to sign Guler this summer as they look to fight off competition for the player's signature.

The Turkish prospect would also bring European experience to any side after featuring in Europa League qualifying and the Europa Conference League last season.
