Arsenal are reportedly attempting to sign Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa before the transfer deadline.
With Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny currently sidelined with injury issues, the Gunners are looking to sign a midfielder.
They have identified Luiz as a potential target, with the Brazilian also subject to interest from Liverpool, who are believed to have made a £20m bid.
However, a recent report indicated that Arsenal are set to rival the Reds after being offered the chance to sign Luiz for £30m.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are pushing to finalise a transfer for the 24-year-old before the transfer window closes.
