Aston Villa reportedly haven't received an offer for striker Darren Bent this summer, despite interest from Newcastle United.

Aston Villa are yet to receive an offer for striker Darren Bent this summer, according to a report.

The England international stated that he needs to leave the club in order to find regular first-team football after being ousted by Christian Benteke.

However, Paul Lambert's side still haven't received a single bid for the 29-year-old despite reported interest from Newcastle United, claims The Sun.

Bent joined Villa in January 2011 for a fee in the region of £24m from Sunderland.
