Report: Atletico Madrid open Kevin Gameiro talks

Atletico Madrid open talks with Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro over a summer move to the Vicente Calderon, according to a report.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly opened talks with Sevilla over a move for Kevin Gameiro.

The 29-year-old, who scored 29 times for Sevilla during the 2015-16 campaign, has been linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid in this summer's transfer window.

However, according to France Football, Atletico are confident of beating their rivals to the punch by offering the Frenchman first-team football.

Gameiro has scored 67 times in 140 appearances for Sevilla, including seven in 13 Europa League matches last season as the Andalusian club won the European trophy for a third straight season.
