Gerardo Martino praises Pedro, Cesc Fabregas

Barcelona boss Gerard Martino praises the performances of both Pedro and Cesc Fabregas against Elche in La Liga.

Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino has praised the performances of both Pedro and Cesc Fabregas as they ran out 4-0 winners over Elche in La Liga this afternoon.

The Catalan side mainly had striker Alexis Sanchez to thank for the win as he scored an impressive hat-trick, but the Barca manager reserved special praise for two of his midfielders.

"Pedro is a player that can win any manager over. He always has answers for the team. He's a player who can assist; he can score goals; he's generous with his team-mates. It's hard for us to leave him on the bench," Martino told reporters.

"We have a lot of intelligent players and Cesc is one of the best at interpreting the game. He knows when he should help his team-mates and he gives great passes; he always finds just the right space."

The result sees Barcelona sitting in top spot in the La Liga table on 49 points.
