Report: Carlos Puyol trains with Barcelona

A report claims that Barcelona defender Carlos Puyol trained with the Catalan outfit on Wednesday.

Barcelona skipper Carlos Puyol reportedly trained with the Catalan outfit on Wednesday with a view to being involved against Real Betis at the weekend.

The Spanish champions had a recovery session this afternoon following last night's 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

According to Marca, Puyol took part in the full session with the rest of his teammates and could start against Betis due to Gerard Pique's absence for the next month.

Puyol, who has been suffering with a knee problem since the start of the campaign, is due to leave Barca on a free transfer at the end of the season, but his next destination is not yet clear.
