Marc Wilmots: 'Belgium will stick to philosophy against Argentina'

Belgium manager Marc Wilmots insists that his side will 'stick to their philosophy' when they meet Argentina for a place in the World Cup semi-finals tomorrow.

Marc Wilmots has insisted that Belgium will not change their approach when they take on Argentina in the World Cup quarter-finals tomorrow evening.

The Red Dragons have reached the final eight of the competition for the first time since 1986, where they will now face an Argentina side buoyed by the form of Lionel Messi.

Despite the Barcelona forward scoring four goals so far in Brazil, Wilmots says that he has no plans to alter his side's style of play.

"We are sticking to our philosophy, we will not only defend," the 45-year-old manager told reporters. "We have a very strong collective compact state. Together we must attack and defend. We can make history and the players realise that."

Defender Jan Vertonghen has previously stated that Belgium will 'work as a team' to stop Messi.
