Tyrone Mings confident of Bournemouth survival

Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings believes that the club will survive in the Premier League this season, despite dropping into the relegation zone recently.

Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings has stated that the club will survive in the Premier League this season, despite dropping into the relegation places.

Mings, who moved to Dean Court from Ipswich Town during the summer, has been out of action with a knee injury that he sustained six minutes into his debut in August.

Fellow summer signing Max Gradel and key striker Callum Wilson are also sidelined with ACL injuries, but Mings is confident that Eddie Howe's men have enough to stay up in their debut top-flight season, despite having a total of 11 players sidelined.

"We've absolutely got enough about us as a group in terms of our mentality and our positivity," the left-back told Sky Sports News.

"We've got a very fit group and that will pay dividends in the second half of the season. The performances have spoken for themselves. It's not like we haven't been creating chances or defending badly.

"It's all been positive and I think we'll be absolutely fine."

Bournemouth, who are without a league win since they defeated Sunderland in September, are currently two points adrift of safety.
