Adam Federici signs new three-year contract at Bournemouth

Bournemouth announce that goalkeeper Adam Federici has signed a new three-year contract at the club.

Bournemouth have announced that goalkeeper Adam Federici has signed a new three-year contract at the club.

The 31-year-old, who made 12 Premier League appearances for the Cherries last season, joined the club from Reading in 2015.

Chief executive Neill Blake told the club's official website: "Adam is a vastly experienced goalkeeper with both Premier League and international experience and we're pleased to keep him with the club as we embark on our second Premier League season.

"Adam has been a consummate professional during his time here and we're delighted to have secured his long term future with the club."

Federici said: "I'm delighted to have signed a new contact. I've worked hard this year to keep improving and the last year has been great. I've been settling in and getting to know the lads so I'm really looking forward to next year now.

"The manager played a big part in me signing, the coaching staff and the way we play football are factors too. I feel I suit the team and look forward to playing more this season, I'm working really hard towards that.

"I've never seen myself as a number two goalkeeper. I need to get rid of that tag and push on, I want to improve and play more next season - hopefully I can achieve that."

Federici has racked up 15 caps for Australia.
