Mehmet Dalman asks Cardiff City fans for 'forgiveness'

Cardiff City chairman Mehment Dalman asks the club's supporters for 'forgiveness' after the recent goings-on at the Welsh outfit.

Cardiff City chairman Mehment Dalman has called for "less noise" off the football pitch after the Welsh outfit appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new manager.

Solskjaer replaces Malky Mackay after the Scot was involved in a disagreement with club owner Vincent Tan, and Dalman has asked the Bluebirds' fans for 'forgiveness' for their off-the-pitch media attention.

Dalman told reporters: "I hope that you'll forgive us for that and put some trust in us to build this club to what I think that it can be built into.

"This club has huge potential but it all has to start on the football pitch. So less noise about non-football and a lot of noise on the football pitch."

Solskjaer's first match in charge of Cardiff is away at Newcastle United in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.
