Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has vowed to put his crucial fumble in last night's 3-3 draw against Inter Milan behind him in order to help his side progress in the Europa League.
The 32-year-old has been a standout player for the Hoops in this year's competition, although it was his error which almost cost the Scottish giants, spilling a straightforward long ball which allowed Rodrigo Palacio to roll into an empty net.
A fine strike from John Guidetti ensured that the round-of-32 tie remains evenly balanced heading into next week's return leg, however, and Gordon is now hoping to forget about his individual howler.
"It's not a nice thing to give away a goal like that but it happens to every goalkeeper at some point and unfortunately it was me tonight," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"The only thing I can do is try to get back to doing what I do best. I responded to it well and went out and made sure that was the last goal we conceded."
Celtic take on Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend, prior to their second-leg meeting with Inter at San Siro.
