Head coach Thomas Tuchel has suggested that Mateo Kovacic, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner will all miss Thursday's Premier League fixture against Leicester City.
While Chelsea have already secured a place in the top four of the Premier League standings, Tuchel admitted at his pre-match press conference that he wants to secure third position.
However, Tuchel is also not expected to take risks on the fitness of his players, leaving Havertz and Werner likely to miss out against the Foxes with hamstring injuries and Kovacic nursing a swollen ankle.
Speaking to reporters, Tuchel said: "Kai Havertz will try in training, he did individual training yesterday and was not in team training so a big question mark.
"Timo Werner is out with hamstring. Ben Chilwell was back in team training which was very, very good news yesterday and a big uplift for everybody and well deserved, it was so nice to see him back in training but of course he's not available for the match
"Mateo Kovacic had a big swollen ankle after the match and did not train yesterday so I'm not sure that he will be available."
Tuchel also added that Callum Hudson-Odoi would not come back into contention due to an Achilles problem, the plan being for the winger to start pre-season training early alongside Chilwell.
