Chelsea captain John Terry fitness concern for Tottenham Hotspur clash

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that it is not yet certain whether John Terry will be fit for this weekend's match against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that he is uncertain whether captain John Terry will be fit to play in Sunday's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

The defender was stretchered off with an ankle injury during the Blues' 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

Mourinho has not completely ruled Terry out of the Premier League match, but told reporters that he did not know whether his skipper will feature this weekend.

"I don't want to say it is impossible that he plays, because maybe he pays and you will say I was hiding," Mourinho said in his press conference. "I am not hiding. Today he did not train, but we have a little hope that he is possible for Sunday."

The Portuguese coach went on to say that he has "complete trust" in the partnership of Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma should Terry be ruled out.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is expected to return within the first 15 days of December.
