Manchester City expiring contracts: Who is free to leave next summer and in 2026?

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's expiring contracts for next summer and in 2026.

After winning a record fourth successive Premier League title in 2023-24, Manchester City face an incredibly steep uphill battle to retain their crown having fallen behind Liverpool in the 2024-25 standings.

Pep Guardiola works with one of the most star-studded squads in world football - when everyone is fit - with some players tied down to long-term contracts and others facing uncertain futures at the club.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at the Man City players whose contracts either expire at the end of next summer, or in 2026.

The Belgian - who turns 34 next June and has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and MLS - revealed at the end of last month that he held "conversations" with Man City about his contract situation last summer, but talks over a potential renewal have now been put on hold as he prioritises building up his fitness.

Carson signed a new one-year contract extension in May 2024 to keep him at the club until the summer of 2025.

The versatile playmaker has confirmed that he plans to return to boyhood club Benfica before he retires, while the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and clubs in Saudi Arabia have previously been credited with an interest.
