Rafael Benitez predicts that Fernando Torres will return to form

Rafael Benitez insists that Fernando Torres's form is not far away, and says that the striker just needs a goal to regain his confidence.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has claimed that it will not be long before Fernando Torres finds his best form.

Benitez defended his striker after Torres missed several opportunities in the Europa League on Thursday.

"I can see him improving," Benitez told London24. "His pace and positioning were much better.

"A goal and he will have more confidence. We have confidence in the way he trains and approaches the games.

"How many goals has he scored this year? 15. He was scoring goals before. We can praise the manager when he's scoring, or blame him if he's not."

Benitez is currently preparing his Chelsea side to face Manchester City at 1.30pm this afternoon.
