Chelsea defender Gary Cahill reveals that he has been 'frustrated' with his time on the bench this season.

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has revealed that he has been 'frustrated' by being forced to sit on the bench this season.

The England international spent time out of the starting lineup at the beginning of the campaign but has featured more since John Terry received his four-match suspension for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand.

"The bench is not where I want to be," Cahill told reporters. "It has been frustrating for me at times this season, but I think we rotate the team well and as long as you are getting as much game time as other people and not looked upon as third choice, then that is fine."

Cahill is expected to start for the Premier League leaders when they travel to Swansea City on Saturday.
