Michael Laudrup has reportedly made John Terry one of his main transfer targets at Lekhwiya.
Former Swansea City manager Laudrup, who left the Liberty Stadium last season, was confirmed as the Qatari club's new boss last week.
The Dane has already identified Terry as a key player to bolster his squad, despite the fact that the Chelsea skipper only recently extended his contract at Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Star.
The 33-year-old is expected to resist the temptation of a lucrative switch to the Middle East this time around, but the report added that he could be lured there once his deal with the Blues expires next summer.
Laudrup's Lekhwiya were only founded in 2009, yet they have already won the Qatar Stars League three times.
