AC Milan are reportedly keen for midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko to return to parent club Chelsea this summer.
Last summer, the Frenchman was allowed to depart Stamford Bridge on loan for the fourth time, agreeing to spend a two-year period at San Siro.
However, unlike in 2018-19 when Bakayoko was a regular in the starting lineup, the 27-year-old has made just five starts and eight substitute outings in Serie A this time around.
As it stands, Milan, who currently lead the Serie A standings, are contractually obligated to retain the services of Bakayoko for the 2022-23 campaign.
Nevertheless, Calciomercato claims that the Rossoneri want to end the agreement at the halfway stage and send the player back to West London.
The alleged request will be complicated with Milan possessing an obligation to buy Bakayoko on a permanent deal in 2023.
