Pulis praises "fantastic" Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis believes that his side's attacking players deserve as much credit as his defence.

Tony Pulis believes that Crystal Palace's attacking players are failing to receive the recognition that they deserve.

The Eagles picked up their fifth-consecutive league victory on Saturday afternoon by seeing off West Ham United 1-0 at Upton Park.

It was Palace's fourth clean sheet in that run of games, but Pulis says that players at both ends of the field deserve equal praise.

"The defence has been fantastic, but I also think we've played some really, really good football," the former Stoke City manager is quoted as saying by the London Evening Standard. "Today again we could have scored three or four goals, so don't take anything away from we've got here.

"This is a different team to the one I had at Stoke - it's got different strengths. We sat down and worked out the strengths of the team and worked out a system we thought would suit them.

"You have to be strong and you have to be resilient, but we've got great pace on the break and the two wide players were absolutely outstanding today."

The three points strengthens Palace's grip on 11th place in the Premier League table.
