Genoa, Torino share spoils

Genoa and Torino share the spoils in a 1-1 draw in Serie A.

Genoa have played out a 1-1 draw with Torino at the Marassi in Serie A.

The visitors from Turin surged ahead as early as the seventh minute when Omar El Kaddouri fired home from outside the box after being teed up by Alexander Farnerud.

The Grifone went close on a few occasions in the first half and were unlucky not to restore parity six minutes after the interval when Sime Vrsaljko's long-range effort came back off the post.

However, there was no denying Davide Biondini in the 69th minute when he latched onto Ioannis Fetfatzidis's through-ball and shot home from inside the Torino penalty box.

The result has lifted Genoa up to seventh in the league table, while Torino are now 10th.
