Huddersfield Town boss Simon Grayson reveals that the club will be appealing against the red card shown to Keith Southern in the 1-1 draw against Charlton Athletic.

Huddersfield Town manager Simon Grayson has revealed that the club will be appealing against the dismissal of Keith Southern in the 1-1 draw against Charlton Athletic yesterday.

Despite going down to 10 men, the Terriers fought back and earned a point thanks to an Adam Clayton penalty, which cancelled out Rob Hulse's opener.

However, despite the positive result, Grayson was left angry with the red card shown to Southern for the challenge on Michael Morrison, insisting that he "clearly" got the ball.

"I've seen it on the DVD and it's two committed players going in 50-50 on a wet pitch," said Grayson.

"He clearly got the ball first. But the referee made a quick decision. It's changed the outcome of the game.

"It was a shame as it would have been a great game 11 versus 11."

Huddersfield are currently 10th in the Championship.
