Cagliari 2-2 Inter Milan

Inter Milan draw 2-2 with 10-man Cagliari in Andrea Stramaccioni's second game in charge.

Andrea Stramaccioni's reign as Inter Milan boss continued at a steady pace as they beat Cagliari 2-2 at Stadio Nereo Rocco this afternoon.

The Nerazzurri defeated Genoa 5-4 last week in Stramaccioni's first game in charge last week but fell behind early on to their mid-table opponents.

Defender Davide Astori converted from Andrea Cossu's corner on five minutes but the hosts' lead was to last less than sixty seconds.

Diego Milito added to his hat-trick against Genoa by netting Inter's equaliser following good work from Mauro Zarate.

There was another quickfire double in the second half as Cagliari restored their advantage courtesy of Mauricio Pinilla, but the Palermo loanee was sent off for a second booking just minutes later.

Almost immediately after the dismissal, Inter levelled the scores again courtesy of Milito's Argentine compatriot Esteban Cambiasso, who applied the finish to Diego Forlan's pass.

Despite having half an hour to net a winner against 10 men, Inter couldn't find the decisive goal and remain seventh in the Serie A table.
