Juventus reportedly rule out the possibility of a swap deal with Inter Milan involving Paulo Dybala and Mauro Icardi.

Juventus have reportedly ruled out the possibility of a swap deal with Inter Milan involving Mauro Icardi and Paulo Dybala.

Inter are keen to offload their star striker after a well-publicised falling-out between him and the club's hierarchy that led to the Argentine being stripped of the captaincy and dropped.

Juventus are also hoping to sell their own Argentine forward and offered him to Manchester United in an attempt to land Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who eventually moved to Inter, taking Icardi's shirt number in the process. whilst also accepting a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for his services.

Spurs also had a bid accepted but both moves broke down, leaving Dybala with an uncertain future, much like his compatriot Icardi.

The Inter hierarchy were hopeful that a swap deal could be concluded between them and their rivals, but according to Gazzetta dello Sport Juventus have ruled out the possibility of such an exchange.

As a result, both clubs are left searching for potential buyers outside the Premier League for their unwanted assets, with approximately three weeks remaining until the European transfer window shuts.
