El-Hadji Diouf hopes to put his spat with Luciano Becchio behind him as he closes in on a move to Leeds United.

El-Hadji Diouf has revealed that he would relish the chance to form a partnership with Luciano Becchio at Leeds United.

The Senegal international, who is on the brink of a move to Elland Road, was involved in a bust-up with the Argentine striker after Doncaster Rovers' 3-2 defeat in February.

However, the 31-year-old said that Becchio is an "intelligent" player and hopes to put the bad blood behind him.

"Becchio is a good, intelligent player," said Diouf. "I'm sure he and I could link up well at Leeds. It would be ideal for me."

Diouf is available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
