West Ham United are reportedly in pole position to win the race for Silkeborg defender Frederik Alves Ibsen.
The 20-year-old has made a total of 50 appearances for the Danish side in all competitions, with his performance earning him recognition at Under-21 level.
Although the youngster only penned a long-term contract last year, his performances have resulted in strong interest from the Premier League.
According to Football Insider, West Ham have fended off interest from Leeds United to secure a deal for the centre-back.
The report suggests that Ibsen has already undergone part of his medical with the Hammers ahead of a move in January.
Despite alleged late interest from Elland Road, it is claimed that a transfer is "99% done".
