Liverpool have moved up to fifth in the Premier League table after narrowly beating Leicester City in a thriller.

Mohamed Salah and Philippe Coutinho put the Reds into a two-goal lead before Shinji Okazaki pulled a goal back before the break.

Jordan Henderson's second-half strike proved decisive as Jamie Vardy immediate reduced the deficit before seeing his penalty saved by Simon Mignolet.

Good evening and welcome to live coverage of the Premier League game between Leicester City and Liverpool at the King Power Stadium. No, it's not Groundhog Day! However, these sides do battle for a second time in four days.

The Reds return to the King Power, not only looking to avenge Tuesday's 2-0 defeat, which saw them crash out of the League Cup, but are also trying to pick up a first win since the international break.

However, for Leicester, a victory will see them pull away from the relegation zone as Craig Shakespeare looks for a third consecutive home league win over the Reds for the first time in 76 years.

Without further ado, let's bring you the latest team news ahead of the 5.30pm kick off.

LEICESTER CITY XI: Schmeichel; Simpson, Chilwell, Morgan, Maguire; King, Albrighton, Ndidi, Mahrez; Vardy, Okazaki

Subs: Gray, Iborra, Hamer, Iheanacho, Slimani, Amartey, Fuchs

LIVERPOOL XI: Mignolet; Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno; Wijnaldum, Henderson, Can; Coutinho, Firmino, Salah

Subs: Oxlade-Chamberlain, Karius, Sturridge, Solanke, Milner, Klavan, Alexander-Arnold

Well, City will be happy to have Vardy back in attack. He had been a doubt after a groin strain. Christian Fuchs was available for young full-back Ben Chilwell keeps his place after Tuesday's victory.

For Liverpool, Coutinho, Firmino and Salah will lead the line. Matip and Lovren's were a doubt for this game after missing training in the latter part of this week, but both start in central defence. Gomez plays a right-back, which means Alexander-Arnold is on the bench for the visitors.

So that is the side Jurgen Klopp has put out at the King Power, but the German coach has been quick to dismiss talk of a crisis at Anfield.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach told reporters: "It sounds like we have no points and are completely the worst team in the league. Yes we have problems, that is why we 'only' have eight points and not 15. We can make it more serious than it is or we can take it like it is.

"I know already about all these problems - or 'not problems' - and I've made my decision already how to work with it, but if I talk a lot about it I only create headlines and it doesn't help us."

While Liverpool will be hoping for a change of fortune, Foxes keeper Kasper Schmeichel is ready for a Liverpool backlash, but the Dane is also hoping for an improved performance from the hosts.

He told LCFCTV: "It was clear to see that their manager wasn't happy after the game, so he'll be rallying them up.

"They'll want a reaction, but we've got to not just match that, but outdo that. We have to make sure that Tuesday was a momentum changer for us so that we get back into that winning habit again."

If Leicester are the triumph, they may need to restrict the number of shots on goal from Liverpool. However, they face an uphill task as Klopp side have hit 40 shots on target during the first five games - the highest of any side in the top-flight.

That said, despite Leicester's victory over the Reds in midweek, wins have been hard to come by. The Foxes have won just once in their last eight league outings, having picked up seven victory in the previous ten games before that.

PREDICTION: With kick-off upon us, it's about time for a prediction and Liverpool need a win and I think they will, but only just. With Leicester needing a victory to bolster their bid to avoid a relegation battle, this will be hard fought. I'm going for 2-1.

The stadium is packed to capacity and the players are in the tunnel. I expect a good game and at least a couple of goals as well. This will be a fascinating 90 minutes.

KICKOFF: Gini Wijnaldum kicks things off at the King Power Stadium.

The visitors look to zip the ball around, but Lovren mistimes a pass, which goes out on the full. Klopp looks fairly relaxed.

Salah wins a free kick inside his own half. It appears that Liverpool are keen to get into their stride quickly.

The visitors had bodies forward in attack, but Maguire shows a cool touch to bring the ball out of defence.

SAVE! As soon as I said that, Vardy strolls into space down the left flank. He fires a shot from an acute angle, which Mignolet saves before Okazaki lobs a follow-up strike over the bar. Best chance of the game so far!

Good defending from Simpson to head away under his own crossbar. Henderson whips in a cross from the right flank. Coutinho's subsequent corner is easily gathered by Schmeichel.

Liverpool have had 79% of the ball so far, but both attempts on goal have come from the hosts. A familiar story?

CLOSE! The commentator's curse almost strikes again! Salah's tees up Can on the edge of the box. He drills a low shot against the post and the ball into the path of the Egyptian midfielder, who misses an open goal.

GOAL! Leicester City 0-1 Liverpool (Salah)

The Egyptian makes up for that miss almost immediately as he latches onto Coutinho's pinpoint cross to beat Schmeichel. The travelling support delighted!

CLOSE! Liverpool almost give away the initiative straight away. Mignolet tries to clear off-balance and delivers the ball into Okazaki's path. The forward can't convert, however, despite earning a corner.

YELLOW CARD: Ndidi is into the referees book after scything down Moreno. Another botched clearance almost turned into a promising attack before his intervention.

GOAL! Leicester City 0-2 Liverpool (Coutinho)

An exquisite freekick from Coutinho doubles the visitor's lead. Schmeichel had no chance as the Brazilian curled the ball into the corner of the net. It's a long way back from here for Leicester.

The Foxes are struggling to keep hold of the ball at the moment and it's Liverpool who are having all the shots. Leicester have a free kick, but Mahrez's delivery comes to nothing, but there is still plenty of time for a fightback!

Vardy has been kept largely quiet since his early foray. Albrighton tries a through ball into the striker's path, but he is caught by the linesman's offside flag.

SAVE! Liverpool are trying to put this game beyond Leicester before half time. Moreno's cross reaches the head of Wijnaldum, whose header is kept out by Schmeichel.

CHANCE! Albrighton lobs the ball into Chilwell on the left side of the box. However, Mignolet is able to collect before can turn the youngsters cross goalward. Much better from the Foxes!

Vardy is brought down by Matip miles from goal. A silly foul and he didn't need to give a free kick away.

CLOSE! A big moment for Leicester as Okazaki slots the ball into the net. The goal is chalked off for offside. He is when the free kick is initially taken, but appears to be onside when Maguire slips the ball through.

CHANCE! Liverpool nearly score a third as Firmino finds space on the left flank and smashes a low effort, but it narrow drifts past the right-hand post.

Leicester can't clear their lines as the Reds continue to attack. The half-time whistle will be a relief to the Foxes, I imagine. Two minutes of added time at the end of the half.

FOUL! Matip again fouls Vardy and once again the Cameroon defender makes a poor decision. Mignolet appeared to be on hand to clear the danger.

GOAL! Leicester City 1-2 Liverpool (Okazaki)

Liverpool players immediately protested to the referee after Okazaki prods the ball into the net from a yard out. They feel that Mignolet was fouled in the build-up to that (I think). Either way, the Foxes are back in the contest.

HALF TIME: Leicester City 1-2 Liverpool

A first half full of intrigue and drama comes to an end. The visiting players continue to protest at the decision to give the goal. However, Mignolet also appeared to miss a clearing punch.

STATS: That goal on the stroke of half time was Liverpool ninth in three away league games. That is the most they have conceded in their opening away games since 1965. The Reds had 10 shots at goal, hitting the target with two (they have also struck the woodwork).

BENCH WATCH: The Foxes do at least have plenty of attackers on the bench, if they mount a serious fightback (Gray, Slimani, Iheanacho to choose from). However, can also draft in Sturridge or Solanke. We may even see this man at some stage...

We said Okazaki scored from very close range, here is the "official" measurement.

Indeed, Okazaki's goal was his fourth in seven appearances. The Japanese forward had scored four in 48 prior to that.

KICKOFF: We are back underway at the King Power. No changes by either side.

SHOT! Coutinho already looking to add to his tally with a clever shot, but not enough to beat Schmeichel.

Matip makes a poor clearance to give away a throw-in inside Liverpool territory. It looks as though the Reds back line lack confidence on occasion.

FOUL! Gomez is deemed to have fouled Chilwell in the air as both contested a header. He appeared to land awkwardly, but the youngster gets back to his feet.

Can is very lucky after surrending possession to Ndidi. His through-ball finds Vardy in space, but a late offside flag comes to the visitor's rescue.

YELLOW CARD: Lovren earns a yellow card for showing his displeasure at not being awarded a penalty. The Croat was trying to meet Coutinho's corner, but claimed to be held by Maguire. Needless to say the referee didn't see his point of view.

CHANCE! Liverpool threaten again as Henderson whips in a cross from the right side of the box for Can at the far post. He's close, but from an acute angle, it would have been a great goal to beat Schmeichel.

Klopp's men are trying to create an opening as Firmino sees a shot blocked before Coutinho fires over. Plenty of conviction from Liverpool, if not the execution.

LEICESTER SUB: The first Foxes changes sees Gray on for Mahrez, who has been quiet today.

Liverpool are getting Sturridge ready for a 30-minute cameo. Vardy pickpockets Lovren, but can't threaten the goal once he does.

LIVERPOOL SUB: Indeed, Sturridge is now on in place of Firmino. No lack of effort from the Brazil striker, but not his day.

It was noticable that Jordan Henderson was determined to speak his mind to referee Anthony Taylor. The midfielder was visibly unhappy after Okazaki's goal.

GOAL! Leicester City 1-3 Liverpool (Henderson)

GOAL! Leicester City 2-3 Liverpool (Vardy)

I was about describe Henderson's calm finish after Liverpool were three-on-two. However, less than a minute later Vardy pulls another goal back for the hosts. Game on.

PENALTY TO LEICESTER

This game has been turned on its head. Vardy races into space and is brought down by Mignolet. He will step up to take the spot kick...

PENALTY SAVED! Mignolet save it! Vardy went straight down the middle and the Belgian read the kick. Incidentally, Mignolet was given a yellow card despite being the last man. I think he is lucky to be on the pitch, although Liverpool believe it's not a penalty.

Incidentally, Henderson had a word in Vardy's ear before the kick. Leicester could have had another penalty within seconds after Can appears to handle the ball.

Liverpool look to be readying Oxlade-Chamberlain. This may be with an eye on the Spartak Moscow game in midweek.

LIVERPOOL & LEICESTER SUBS: Oxlade-Chamberlain does not enter the fray at the expense of Coutinho. Slimani is also on for the Foxes, with Albrighton the player to make way.

SAVE! Sturridge sniffs a fourth for Liverpool. His left-footed effort is strongly parried around the post by Schmeichel. The subsequent corner comes to nothing.

FOUL! A terrific cross from Vardy near the right touchline is turned wide from close range by Slimani. However, Morgan fouls Matip and Liverpool escape (for now).

CLOSE! Another chance for Liverpool with Wijnaldum taking aim at goal, but missing the target. The Dutchman is still yet to score a Premier League away goal

Milner was briefly floored and slowly gets to his feet. The Reds have already made their three substitutions.

FOUL! Leicester have attacking position, only for Maguire to bring down Henderson. Five minutes of added time left at the King Power Stadium.

YELLOW CARD: Time ebbing away for Leicester. Vardy leaves his foot in on Moreno and few words exchanged between the pair. Vardy goes into the book for the challenge.

FOUL! Another silly foul. This time Oxlade-Chamberlain fells Iheanacho. Danger for Liverpool.

FULL TIME: Leicester City 2-3 Liverpool

Breathless stuff from start to finish! Liverpool hang on for a first win since the 4-0 victory when Oxlade-Chamberlain was still a Gooner. Leicester clearly don't know when to give up, but they remain just above the drop zone. That's it from our live commentary, but Sports Mole will have plenty of reaction from around the Premier League and the rest of planet football. However, from myself it's goodbye for now!
