James Milner has claimed that Liverpool will only get better this season after avoiding defeat in their opening three matches.
Liverpool followed successive victories by claiming a point in a goalless draw against Arsenal on Monday, and Milner is excited about the potential of the squad built by Brendan Rodgers following the club's disappointing sixth-place finish last season.
"We will see at the end of the season, won't we? I think it is an exciting time to be at the club. There have obviously been a lot of changes on and off the field in the summer and I think it will take time to get to our best," the England international, who arrived at Anfield on a free transfer earlier in the summer, told The Mirror.
"But to start the season like we have is pleasing.
"We don't want to put any targets on it, but the longer we get into this season and the more we play together, you will see us improve more and more."
Liverpool return to action against West Ham United on Saturday.
