Alberto Moreno: 'Physical demands of the Premier League have been tough'

Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno admits that he has struggled with the physical demands of the Premier League.

Liverpool full-back Alberto Moreno has admitted that he has struggled to cope with the physical demands of the Premier League.

The 23-year-old, who moved to Anfield last summer from Sevilla, lost a starting spot to new signing Joe Gomez in last weekend's 1-0 victory over Stoke City.

Despite finding aspects of life in England difficult, the Spaniard has insisted that he is happy at Anfield.

"Maybe the defensive aspect [has been the most tough]," Moreno told Marca. "This league is very physical, you're up against really fast and incisive players. In Spain it's more tactical and positional. [Being at Liverpool is] great. I realised what a great club this is right away."

While Moreno has publicly claimed that he is content at Liverpool, the full-back has been linked with a move away from the club.
