Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers: 'We need to keep pushing'

Brendan Rodgers says that his side need to "keep pushing" in order for Liverpool to be successful this season.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that his team need to "keep pushing" in order to leave themselves in contention for Champions League qualification.

The Merseyside outfit are currently third in the Premier League table, five points adrift of leaders Arsenal after 10 games.

"If you look at where we're at, if you're averaging two points a game you would like to think you would get into the Champions League," Rodgers told the Liverpool Echo.

"Come Saturday, if we can get another three points, that would take us on to 23 points after 11 games. We've built a platform this year, but we have to keep pushing and keep moving forward or else it counts for nothing."

The Reds will take on Fulham this weekend.
