Preview: Liverpool vs. Fulham

Sports Mole looks ahead to this Saturday's Premier League encounter between Liverpool and Fulham at Anfield.

Liverpool will try to overcome their defeat to Arsenal by snatching maximum points from their Premier League clash against Fulham this weekend.

The Merseyside outfit failed to move back to the top of the league table last weekend when they succumbed to a 2-0 loss at the Emirates, leaving them in third and five points adrift of the leaders Arsenal.

Despite the blip, the Reds have had a positive start to the campaign following their first 10 fixtures, losing just one in their five games on home turf.

In contrast, Fulham have been dogged by rumours that manager Martin Jol could be shown the door following a start that has resulted in six defeats from 10, and only two wins on the road.

The last time these two sides met at Anfield Liverpool rode out 4-0 winners, and Fulham will have to face a strikeforce of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez, who are in impressive form.

Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Glen Johnson is fit to feature this weekend following his absence against Arsenal, while the Cottagers have confirmed that Hugo Rodallega could be sidelined for six weeks with a groin injury.
