Juventus are reportedly lining up a January move for Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino, whose contract at Anfield expires at the end of this season.

Juventus are reportedly readying an approach for Roberto Firmino when the Liverpool striker enters the final six months of his contract in January.

Despite registering three goals and three assists in his last three Premier League appearances, Firmino's future on Merseyside remains unclear, with his contract set to expire at the end of the current season.

As such, once the January transfer window opens, all foreign clubs are free to discuss terms over a pre-contract deal to sign Firmino on a free transfer next summer, unless the Brazilian extends his Liverpool contract between now and then.

However, talk of a new deal at Anfield has died down in recent months, despite Firmino having expressed his desire to stay at the club after their 3-1 win over Manchester City in the Community Shield, and the Liverpool ECHO reports that Juventus are now ready to pounce.

With Diogo Jota and new signing Darwin Nunez both capable of playing in Firmino's preferred central position, it remains to be seen whether the Reds will move to tie down a player who will turn 31 years old in October.

Liverpool did business with Juventus on transfer deadline day earlier this week, bringing in Arthur Melo on a season-long loan deal.
