Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will not rush into transfer market

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists that he will not race into the transfer market in January after revealing that he is satisfied with the quality in his squad.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has suggested that he will not spend heavily in the January transfer window due to his confidence in his squad.

The Reds have been linked with a host of players since the arrival of the German in October, but he is adamant that he will not be rushed into buying next month due to the strong competition for places in his team.

Klopp told reporters: "If your boss thinks you're not in the best day in your life and thinks, 'Maybe I'll replace him,' that is not how the world should run. It's much more important to put your trust in people, and that trust should last longer than a couple of days.

"With the squad at this moment, I don't feel we have to look for somebody else just because they cost £20m. At this moment, we have no problems with quality. We have problems sometimes maybe with concentration and maybe with other things, but we don't know if the next player we can get will do it better.

"We now have two players for each full-back position, four centre-backs, Jordan Henderson in midfield for the first time, other offensive midfield players, and we have more strikers than other teams, so where is the space?"

Liverpool face West Bromwich Albion in their Premier League clash on Sunday.
