Liverpool have reportedly emerged as contenders to re-sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
The England international departed Anfield for the Etihad in July 2015, but he has struggled for starts under Pep Guardiola this term and recently revealed that he would be open to an exit.
Barcelona are thought to be leading the race for Sterling's signature, and City are supposedly willing to let the attacker leave should they receive a fee of £68m over the winter or next summer.
Now, Bild journalist Christian Falk reports that Liverpool are also keeping tabs on Sterling's future with a view to re-sign their former academy starlet in 2022.
Sterling is yet to extend his Man City deal beyond the summer of 2023, but Falk also claims that Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing a move for the attacker, who would be interested in joining a foreign club.
The 26-year-old previously banked 23 goals and 25 assists in 129 games for Liverpool but only boasts one goal and two assists from 12 appearances in all tournaments so far this term.
