Ben Woodburn 'heading to Sheffield United on loan'

A report claims that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has handpicked Sheffield United as the ideal club for youngster Ben Woodburn to spend the 2018-19 campaign on loan with.

Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn will reportedly be sent out on loan to Championship side Sheffield United for the duration of the 2018-19 campaign.

A number of second-tier sides are rumoured to have made enquiries about the Wales international's availability, including Steve Bruce's Aston Villa.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has carefully considered every option available, and The Sun claims that the German favours Sheffield United because of their attacking style of play under Chris Wilder.

The Blades are seeking a direct replacement for fellow Welshman David Brooks, who left for Bournemouth earlier this summer.

Woodburn was given just six minutes of playing time in the Premier League last time out, having featured five times the season before.
