Team News: Kevin De Bruyne returns for Manchester City

Kevin De Bruyne returns to the Manchester City lineup for the trip to Bournemouth.

Kevin De Bruyne has returned to the Manchester City lineup for the trip to Bournemouth this afternoon.

The Belgian, who has been out since January with a knee injury, returned to training this week but was not expected to feature in the trip to the south coast.

In all, manager Manuel Pellegrini has made five changes from the side that fell to defeat in the Manchester derby last time out.

Willy Cabellero is named between the sticks as replacement for the injured Joe Hart, while Martin Dimichelis and Bacary Sagna drop to the bench as Pablo Zabaleta and Nicolas Otamendi come into the back four.

Yaya Toure is out after sustaining a knee injury, meaning that Fernando earns a recall as partner for Fernandinho, with De Bruyne coming in for Raheem Sterling, who is out with a groin injury.

De Bruyne is joined by Jesus Navas and David Silva in a three-fold support for Sergio Aguero up front.

The Cherries, meanwhile, have two changes from the side that went down 3-0 to Tottenham Hotspur a fortnight ago.

Benik Afobe has suffered a hamstring injury, meaning that Lewis Grabban will partner Joshua King up front, while Eunan O'Kane replaces Harry Arter in the middle of the park.

Bournemouth: Boruc; Smith, Francis, Cook, Daniels; Ritchie, O'Kane, Surman, Gradel; Grabban, King
Subs: Federici, Distin, Elphick, Gosling, Iturbe, Pugh, Murray

Manchester City: Caballero; Zabaleta, Otamendi, Mangala, Clichy; Fernando, Fernandinho; Navas, Silva, De Bruyne; Aguero
