Former Manchester United defender Gary Pallister has called on "one or more" of the Red Devils players to become a "hero" against Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Man United will enter the last-16 second leg at Old Trafford trailing 2-0 from the first leg last month.
Pallister, however, has claimed that it is the perfect opportunity for the players to stand up and be counted amid what has been a difficult season for the club.
"It is an opportunity for one or more to step up to the plate and become a United hero. These players know what is required of them every time they pull on a United jersey and this is one time when they have to deliver," Pallister told Goal.com.
"It is nights like this that can provide the momentum to go on and finish the season strongly. There has been lots of disappointments this season but we can still win two cups and finish in the top four, so all is not lost."
Man United will be without Ander Herrera and Daley Blind for the clash in Manchester, with neither making the 18-man squad.
